Bhubaneswar: Schools and other educational institutions across the state reopened on Monday after a long summer vacation lasting nearly two months.
All educational institutions in the state were closed from April 26 as per the instruction from the state government in view of the severe heat wave prevailing at the time.
Only a few summer camps were organised by some schools and institutes during the summer vacation.
Many students, along with their parents, also made a beeline for book stores and students stationery shops to buy their study materials.
Many cloth stores and footwear shops were also crowded by the students at many places.
