ECoR To Intensify Awareness On Fake Job Rackets

Bhubaneswar: East Coast Railway (ECoR) has advised job aspirants to remain careful of the touts fleecing money promising them jobs.

Railway officials said that it has come to the knowledge of Railways that some people have been arrested by police for duping youths by promising them to provide jobs in Railways. “Keeping in mind such activities, EcoR is continuously undertaking massive campaign to educate people so that the innocent unemployed youths will not fall prey to these types of rackets,” said an official.

He also said that all the Railway examinations are now being held online. “All the recruitment is being notified through newspaper advertisements especially in Employment News and in leading national newspapers of the country. For Group-D posts, the examinations are being conducted through Railway Recruitment Cell of ECoR and for Group-C posts; examinations are being held through Railway Recruitment Boards,” added the official.

In case there are any doubts regarding genuineness of any call letter or letter of appointment, the prospective candidates can check with the office of the Principal Chief Personnel Officer of ECoR at Rail Sadan. “If anybody asks for bribe promising to provide you a job in Railways or if you have any information of corruption or you are a victim of the above, please inform on Vigilance Helpline Number 8455885031,” said the official.
