ECoR conducts trial run on Balangir-Bhainsapali Railway Line 

Balangir: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) on Tuesday conducted a trial run on the newly-laid railway track between Balangir and Bhainsapalli on Khurda-Balangir route in Odisha.

The Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS), accompanied by the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Sambalpur, and a team of senior Railway officials and engineers inspected the 19-km long track during the trial run.

The Balangir-Bhainsapalli section will be dedicated to the people in the next month, official sources said.

Out of 289 km Khurda-Balangir new railway line, the Ministry of Railways has already commissioned 66-km Khurda Road-Nayagarh stretch.

Notably, the Centre in the 2018 Union Budget had sanctioned the highest allocation of Rs 625 crore to Khurda Road-Balangir railway project.
