EC launches special drive to enroll left out voters

New Delhi: With a view to maximising the registration of eligible electors in the country, the Election Commission (EC) of India began a month-long nationwide Special Drive from today. The Special enrollment drive will be completed on July 31.

During the drive, the EC will focus on left out eligible young citizens in the age group of 18-19 and removal of names of registered dead electors, if any, from the electoral rolls.

The Commission has also sent communication to all the recognised political parties across the country seeking their cooperation to make the Special Drive a success.
