If you are earning less than 15 thousand rupees monthly and have not done any retirement plan, you should not be worried as you can get a minimum pension of 3000 rupees after 60 years. According to reports, you will get Rs 3000 under the PM-SYM Scheme (Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan).

How much pension?

You will get a minimum pension of Rs 3000 under PM-SYM Scheme. However, you also can get more money if you deposit more amount in your pension account.

How will the account be opened?

You can open the PM-SYM account very easily either by visiting to the Common Service Center (CSC) or in the website of LIC or Labour Ministry. You also can open the PM-SYM Scheme account at the District Labour Office, LIC Office, EPF and ESIC office.

Who can open an account?

Not all the people are allowed to open the account. According to EPFO, people whose income is less than 15 thousand rupees and they are in the age limit of 18 to 40 years only can open the account. However, you cannot open an account under the PM-SYM Scheme if you have already have an EPF / NPS / ESIC account.

Documents needed to open PM-SYM Scheme account

While opening a PM-SYM Scheme account you need to produce your Aadhaar Card and bank Account Details like IFSC Code, Passbook and Check Book.
