Dying school student donates organs to save two lives in Odisha

Berhampur: Setting an example for others, a 14-year-old girl shool student from Odisha’s Berhampur has saved two lives by donating her organs.

The minor girl, Siddhi Samriddhi, is the daughter of Sapan Kumar Bindhani and Dr. Sunita Pradhan of Basudev Nagar in Berhampur. She is a class 10 student of De Paul School.

Samriddhi was admitted at the hospital after she suddenly fell ill after complaining of a headache on Saturday. Unfortunately, she died while undergoing treatment.

Samriddhi donated her one kidney to a patient who is undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College & Hospital in Cuttack. Her other kidney was transplanted in a patient undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.
