Dumper driver dies of electrocution in Balangir

Balangir: In yet another case of electrocution in the State, a dumper driver was killed after coming in contact with a high voltage transmission line at Talapada in Chanabahal village under Muribahal police limits here today.

The deceased whose identification is not known is said to be a resident of Burda village in Kalahandi district.

The victim who worked as a driver with a transport company in Muribahal area for past few years had gone to deliver a stone consignment. He was returning after unloading the stones when a part of his dumper touched a sagging high voltage power cable on the road in Talapada. He died of electrocution on the spot.

Muribahal Police has rushed to the spot and seized the body for autopsy.

An investigation is underway into the incident.
