A drunken man has been accused of killing his wife in a fit of rage in Balasore district of Odisha on Wednesday, said reliable reports.
Jaleswar: A drunken man has been accused of killing his wife in a fit of rage in Balasore district of Odisha on Wednesday, said reliable reports.
According to reports, the deceased wife has been identified as Manjulata Murmu, the accused man has been identified as Durga Murmu.
The incident took place in Gahirabandh village under Raibania police station of Balasore district in Odisha.
The man was drunk when he came home and allegedly due to some quarrel he killed is wife in a fit of rage. The villagers heard the cries of the wife and reached the spot to find her lying in a pool of blood.
The locals immediately rushed her to the nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead by the doctors.
The accused was overpowered by the villagers and was handed over to the police by the villagers. The police has detained him and is investigating further into the matter.
