Puri: A drunk woman tourist from West Bengal allegedly created a ruckus in Odisha’s Puri City on Saturday night. The local police also had a herculean task to control her.
A couple from West Bengal had reportedly come to Puri on a visit. They hired a schooty from the Chakadola Tours and Travels after reaching the Pilgrim City.
They had an argument with the owner of the travel agency for some unknown reason while returning the two-wheeler. Irate over the argument, the owner of the travel agency slapped the man tourist. After this, his wife, who was found to be under the influence of alcohol, created a ruckus at the travel agency.
Likewise, her husband was also seen shouting at the owner of the travel agency with a loud voice. Some locals intervened in the matter to pacify both the party. However, as they could not, the local police was informed about it.
A team of cops rushed to the spot immediately and tried to normalize the situation. However, the drunk woman tourist started arguing with them and demanded the arrest of the owner of the travel agency who slapped her husband. The police team also failed to take control over the situation due to the absence of the woman cops.
