Cuttack: The Regional Transport Office (RTO), Cuttack today seized a passenger bus and arrested its driver for driving the bus under the influence of alcohol.
RTO officials said that the bus with 25 passengers was on its way to Salipur when transport officials inspected the bus. “The driver of the was driving the vehicle in erratic manner and during inspection we found that the driver was under influence of alcohol with alcohol content of 192mg. So we have seized the bus,” said a transport official.
The passengers of the bus were also shifted to another bus. “The driver has been taken to police custody by Salipur police station for further action,” added the official.
