Bhadrak: At least one person sustained critical injury and was rushed to hospital after a Hyva overturned after hitting a bull near Ghogara under Kanpur police limits here last night.
The injured person has been identified as the driver of the Hyva.
As per the report, the Hyva which had been laden with a sand consignment was en-route to Pirahat to Chandbali late in the night when the mishap took place. At Ghogara a bull came in front of the vehicle causing the driver to lose control over the wheels.
As the Hyva overturned post the incident, the driver remained trapped inside it hours and could be rescued only after fire services officials and police rushed to the spot and swung into action.
The victim has been admitted to Tihidi hospital for treatment and is said to be in serious condition.
Meanwhile, locals have blamed the administration for not taking proper step to check accidents which have become regular affair on the Bhadrak-Chandbali National Highway.
