Driver charred to death after truck comes in contact with live electric wire in Odisha

Bolangir: Truck driver was charred to death reportedly after their truck came into contact with a 11kv live electric wire resulting in a fire in Dunguripali village under Tushura police limits of Bolangir district on Friday.

The identity of the driver has not been ascertained yet.

The incident took place when the driver of the cement-laden truck climbed on the top of the vehicle to unload the cement and came in contact with the live wire. The truck then burst into flames, killing the driver on the spot.

On being informed, the Tusura police and the fire personnels reached the spot and doused the flames, recovered the driver’s body.

Later, the police have started an investigation into the matter.
