Kendrapara: Tightening the noose around the necks of history-sheeters, Kendrapara police nabbed dreaded criminal Sheikh Nabi following an encounter at Arjunpur under Patkura police limits here today.
The raid was carried out by the special squad of Kendrapara Police in the wee hours today following a tip-off on Nabi’s presence in Arujnpur.
A police team which approached the hideout of the criminal at around 4 am witnessed a return fire by him in a bid to escape from the spot. After cops retaliated, Nabi sustained bullet injury on his right leg and fell down to be arrested and rushed to a hospital.
Nabi has over 10 criminal cases pending against him at different police stations in the district, said police.
