Bhubaneswar: Dr. Iti Samanta, editor of Odisha’s leading Magazine ‘The Kadambini’ received the ‘Sanskruti Mitra Award 2017’ at a glittering ceremony at Rabindra Mandap here on Monday.
Dr. Samanta was honoured with the prestigious award on the occasion of the 16th Annual Day of Pancham Beda . She was conferred the award for her immense contribution on the field of art, culture and literature in Odisha.
Apart from Dr. Samanta, Upendra Prasad Nayak, Dr. Saurendra Mohapatra, Rajib Pani, Bijay Nayak, Pradyumna Satpathy and Mamata Biswal also received the award.
Women & Child Development Minister Prafulla Samal attended the programme as the chief guest in the event, while Bhubaneswar (central) MLA Bijaya Kumar Mohanty and other dignitaries graced the occasion yesterday.
