Puri: The golden jubilee celebration of Srikshetra Hanuman Jayanti was held recently in Puri of Odisha. During the inaugural function of this three day long festival editor of Odisha’s most circulated family magazine Kadambini’s editor Dr Iti Samanta was conferred with the Shreekshetra Gourav Samman.
Odisha Women and Child Development Minister Tukuni Sahu graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. On this occasion saints, chiefs of some mutts (Mathadhisha), servitors (sevayat), litterateurs and artists were felicitated.
On this occasion, Dr Iti Samanta and Rakshyaka Nayak were felicitated with the Shreekshetra Gourav honour. Besides, Swami Samarpanananda Giri, Bramhachari Manas Chaitanya, Satyananda Das, Mahanta Ramakrushna Dash, Raghubir Das, Bansidhar Goswami were felicitated with the Shreekshetra Ratna samman.
Also, a souvenir on rituals of Srimandira as well as Sahijata of Puri was inaugurated on this occasion.
Later, in the cultural programmes the sahijata of Puri, Rabana, Hanuman and Nrusingha medha dance were performed.
The Secretary of the organisation Chandra Madhav Pujapanda, programme executive Ramachandra Das Mohapatra and managing secretary Sundarshan Patnaik managed the event.
