Bhubaneswar: Expressing his unhappiness over the way he is being treated by his party leaders, BJD leader Nabin Nanda lashed out at senior BJD leader and Dhenkanal district observer Damadar Rout and warned him not to apply what he called the ‘Bishnu Das formula’ in the district.
Nanda alleged that BJD district president Nrusingha Charan Sahu is keeping him away from all party affairs and meetings due to personal differences. But rather than take action against him, district observer Rout is rather supporting him as the two are good friends.
He sought a reply from the senior leader asking him whether BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has told Rout to keep him out of party affairs or the Agriculture Minister thinks he is bigger than Naveen.
“Has hon’able CM instructed Dr. Rout (our Dist observer) not to call me for party meetings or does he think he is above the party supremo? Doesn’t he know the minimum courtesy to advise the district unit to call senior state council members to attend party meetings? If he has any doubt, he may seek a clarification from the honouable Chief Minister whether I am in the party or not? Why is he adopting Bishnu Das formula in our district? If he thinks that his personal friend, who recently joined the party and is always seen moving around with him, is an alternative to anybody, time will tell everything. Dhenkanal people are not fools. He should not forget the results of the last GP elections in Dhenkanal. Honourable CM instructed all party observers to strengthen the party organisation taking into confidence all sections of party functionaries. But the action of Dr Rout is encouraging factionalism in the Dhenkanal unit. Senior leaders should not act like this. He or anybody else do not have any right to insult me or any party cadre for their personal interest,” said Nanda in a Facebook post.
