Don’t go to school if you have Covid symptoms: Odisha Public Health Director advises students

Bhubaneswar: After several students were found positive for Covid in Odisha, especially in Sundergarh and VIMSAR Burla, the Public Health Director advised students not to attend physical class at school if they have Covid symptoms.

In his reaction following the large number of Covid positive cases in the State Odisha Public Health Director Niranjan Mishra said that the students who have Covid symptoms should not go to school.

The local administration is aware about the infections. The infected people have been kept in isolation. Since the College going boys and girls have been vaccinated, there is little chance of them getting infected. However, we should be worried about the school students, he said.

He also asked the School and College Authorities to keep a tab on the students with symptoms. The Covid guidelines needed to be strictly followed in the Schools and Colleges. We can check infection by remaining aware. There is nothing to fear as Covid infections are decreasing in the state, Mishra said.

It is to be noted that as many as 51 students have tested positive for the deadly Covid virus in a high school in Sundargarh district of Odisha today. Besides, 22 students.
