Bhawanipatna: In a shocking incident, a doctor mercilessly beat-up a patient at Dharamgarh Sub Divisional Hospital in Kalahandi district last night for asking where is the doctor.
According to reports, a patient from Bastipada of Dharamgarh reached the Dharamgarh Sub Divisional Hospital for treatment of his stomachache.
After reaching the hospital the patient reportedly did not find the doctor due to which he asked about the whereabouts of the medico. However, the doctor, who is identified as Sailesh Kumar Dora, had an argument with the patient after reaching the hospital.
Irate over the altercation, Dora continuously beat the patient by chasing him around the hospital. Video of the incident went viral.
In the video, it can be seen that the doctor, who was wearing half trousers and a T-shirt, mercilessly attacked the patients even though some onlookers and the security guards of the health cenre tried to pacify him.
After the news got spread, the relatives of the patient along with some locals staged a road blockade. They demanded the arrest and dismiss the doctor from service.
Meanwhile, both sides have filed FIRs against each other over the incident.
