Bhadrak: In an incident putting a question mark on the safety and security of on-duty medical staff in the district, a group of miscreants attack a doctor and an attendant in Chandbali Community Health Centre (CHC) last night. Police arrested three persons involved in the attack this morning.
As per the report the incident took place at around 11 am in the night while the victim doctor identified as Bishnu Prasad Sahu and Bharat Chandra Munda were on duty at the CHC. A group of three miscreants reached the hospital and started arguing with Sahu without any reason. It is suspected that they were drunk.
“The miscreant trio started arguing with ‘sir’ without any reason and used foul languages. As he objected to their act they started thrashing him brutally. The CHC premise have become a safe haven for anti-social elements” informed Munda who was beaten up by the miscreants latter for trying to save the doctor.
“We have arrested three persons in the incident acting upon the complaint received from the medical authorities. All the victims have been identified as residents of Pahadpur area. The case is under investigation,” said Chandbali IIC.
