Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar DCP Umashankar Das on Monday warned the denizens of cyber fraud.
He told the people of Bhubaneswar to be cautious while downloading apps.
The DCP said that the cyber looters have found a new way to loot and take away money from people.
The old way of sending OTP is no longer being used by the cyber fraudsters. Now-a-days, fraudsters have started sending UPI numbers.
The DCP has urged people not to download apps such as Anydesk, Team viewer and Quick Support.
The DCP further said that these apps give miscreants complete access to the downloaders phone from which all the important information can be stolen.
