Jajpur: A man had a miraculous save in Neulapur area under Dharmashala police limits in Jajpur district on Saturday after a rice-laden truck fell off a bridge and crushed the Scooty he was riding.
The incident which took place this morning saw a speeding Bhubaneswar bound rice laden truck with from Kolkata losing balance and skidding off the Neulapur overbridge and fall on a Scooty rider passing through a service road under it. The Scooty got mangled completely in the incident. However, the rider fortunately fell off his vehicle and sustained only minor injuries. Traffic flow came to a halt through the route for quite some time following the accident.
Dharmashala Police reached the spot immediately and seized both the vehicles. Police also arrested the driver of the truck.
The Scooty rider was yet to be identified when this report was being filed.
