Bhadrak: In a crackdown on corrupt officials, Vigilance sleuths raided Tihidi block office cashier Prabhakar Pradhan’s houses and office located at different places today, on charges of amassing properties disproportionate to his known source of income.
Simultaneous raids were conducted at Pradhan’s Tihidi office along with his rented and ancestral houses located in Bhadrak and Balasore districts.
During the raid the anti-corruption bureau officials verified various important documents of Pradhan along with land records and bank accounts.
Vigilance sources said the cashier is accused of swindling away large sum of government funds allocated to beneficiaries in both the districts under various public welfare schemes, in last couple of years.
Details are awaited on the raid.
