Sambalpur: Collector Samarth Verma on Saturday made a surprise visit to a school in Naxapalli area.
According to reports, Verma had a scheduled visit to Naxapalli yesterday. Post his visit, he made a surprise visit to a primary school to inquire about the institution. He asked certain questions to the students to find out the quality of the education they are getting from the teachers.
The collector also checked the attendance register of the school teachers and marked teachers who were absent during his visit as having availed casual leave (CL).
While Verma’s surprise visit to the school was highly appreciated by the intellectual mass of the district, the video has gone viral on the social media and has also sent a message to errant government officials to be dutiful.
