Bhubaneswar: District level Election officers are set to receive training for vote counting from Wednesday onwards. The training will go on till May 19.
For this training programme, 30 trainers have been selected to provide training to officers from 30 districts.
The district level Election Officers will be given training in how the actual vote counting will be undertaken. This is the first time that VVPAT machines have been used along with EVMs. The vote counting is supposed to take more time than usual and hence the officers need to be trained accordingly.
As previously reported Returning Officers were given two-day training in Jaydev Bhavan in Bhubaneswar.
The counting of votes across India is set to happen on May 23.
