Dhenkanal: Elephant tramples man to death, Tusker electrocuted to death

Dhenkanal: Two separate incidents related to Man-elephant conflict have been reported from Dhenkanal district of Odisha today. In the first case, a man was killed by a wild elephant while in the second case, a tusker was electrocuted to death. Both the incident took place in Hindol forest range area of the district.

As per reports, a man was trampled by a wild elephant in Karnapur area. After getting information Forest officials reached the spot and initiated investigation. The deceased has been identified as Bhramarabara Behera of Karnapur village.

In the second case a tusker was killed in Asarada forest area after it fell into the trap set for wild animals. After getting information, Forest officials reached the spot and started investigation.

Happening of two cases related to elephants in the same day has shocked the locals.
