Dharmendra Pradhan to flag off Bhubaneswar-Junagarh Express on Aug 24

Bhubaneswar: Union Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Minister of Steel Dharmendra Pradhan will flag off of the individual running of Bhubaneswar-Junagarh Road-Bhubaneswar Express from East Coast Railway headquarters here on Saturday through video conferencing.

Earlier, Bhubaneswar-Junagarh Road-Bhubaneswar Express was running jointly with Bhubaneswar-Jagadalpur-Bhubaneswar Hirakhand Express between Bhubaneswar and Rayagada from both the directions and was being separated at Rayagada towards Jagadalpur and Junagarh Road, respectively.

With the new train service, passengers from Junagarh side will not have to wait for the link at Rayagada Railway Station.  Besides, more passengers can travel as more coaches can be added.

A long-standing demand of the people of Kalahandi District for the individual train from Junagarh Road to the State capital will be fulfilled, said ECoR in an official release.

The Union Minister will also inaugurate Odia Script in Unreserved Train Tickets tomorrow.

Passengers can purchase Train Tickets of Odia script from all the Unreserved Ticketing System (UTS) Counters in Odisha towards different destinations.

Odisha’s Commerce & Transport Minister Padmanabha Behera, Science & Technology Minister, Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi will also grace the occasion here, ECoR said.

Similarly, Energy & MSME Minister Dibya Shankar Mishra, Kalahandi MP Basanta Kumar Panda will be present at the local function at Junagarh Road Station on the occasion, ECoR added.
