Derailment of goods train affects services in Odisha

Koraput: As many as six wagons of a iron laden goods train derailed near Bheja village under Nandapur Tehsil in Koraput district early on 3 am on Friday.

Reportedly, the incident took place around 25 km away from Koraput station near Padua railway station between Koraput and Vishakhapatnam.

The goods train was carrying iron ore from Kirandul to Vishakhapatnam when the train derailed near Bheja village.

As a result, the train services have been affected due to the train derailment. On getting the information, the rescue team of Koraput arrived at the spot.

Notably, Visakhapatnam-Koraput-Kirandul and Kirandul-Koraput-Visakhapatnam Express trains have been canceled.
