Deputy Manager of Rourkela Steel Plant found hanging at home

Rourkela: People were left in a state of panic in Sector-2 area of the Steel City this morning after a Deputy Manager of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) was found hanging at his quarters under mysterious conditions.

The deceased has been identified as Jay Prabesh (31). He was working in the Plate Mill Department of the plant.

Prabesh’s death came to light after his wife who is currently on a visit to her parents’ house in Meerut called up him last night. As the call went unanswered she rang up Prabesh’s friends to inform the matter later and told them to make an inquiry.

The deceased’s friends reached his home this morning to found him hanging to the ceiling.

Sector-3 police rushed to the spot and sent the body for autopsy to Ispat General Hospital (IGH).

Sources said Prabesh was scheduled to visit Meerut to see his wife who is pregnant. He is suspected to have committed suicide.
