Demolition Of 42 MLA Quarters Near Odisha Assembly To Begin From Tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: The process of demolition of 42 MLA quarters near the Odisha Assembly will begin from tomorrow, informed speaker of the Odisha Assembly, Surjya Narayana Patro.

Patro informed the development after reviewing the matters relating to construction of proposed multi-storey building in MLA Colony in his office chamber today.

The proposed building complex will have modern facilities like community hall, kalyan mandap, multi-gym, space for morning walk and commercial establishments for legislators. More than Rs 400 crore will be spent on construction of the building complex.

Among others Commissioner-cum- Secretary, Works Department, Krishan Kumar, Secretary of Odisha Legislative Assembly, Dasarathi Satpathy and other high officials of Works Department were present in the meeting. Besides Director of Estates, Hemanta Kumar Padhy was also present in the meeting.
