Nabrangpur: In a shocking incident, the decomposed body of an elderly woman was found from a closed house under mysterious circumstances.
The incident took place in Sivaji Nagar area of Umerkote in Nabarangpur district on Friday.
The octogenarian has been identified as Kusum Nayak, wife of Bhagirathi Nayak.
The decomposed body was found from one of the rooms of the woman’s residence.
As per reports, Kusum and Bhagirathi had three sons out of which the eldest son was unemployed, they used to live off her pension. According to reports, Kusum was not in good terms with her daughter-in law.
The neighbours informed the police after foul order emanated from the house. The police immediately rushed to the spot and recovered the decomposed body of Kusum.
Investigation is underway, the reason of death is yet to be ascertained.
