Decline in Odisha Covid cases: 316 positives, 3 deaths

Bhubaneswar: A total of 316 Covid-19 positive cases including 51 in the 0-18 years age group have been detected positive in Odisha in the last 24 hours taking the tally to 10,41,773, informed the Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Department on Monday.

Among the 316 positives, there are 186 quarantine cases and 130 local contact cases. However, 450 patients recovered in the State taking the total number of 10,29,147.

Hence, the number of active cases stands at 4,237.

Besides, State Pool has recorded 35 new Covid cases.

Meanwhile, the State Health & Family Welfare Department informed about the death of three COVID infected patients including one from Bhubaneswar, taking the death toll to 8,336 after due completion of death audit process. The list does not reflect deaths occurring on a particular day. It gives details of past deaths for which the death audit process has been duly completed and the cause of death has been identified as due to Covid-19.

Details of cases confirmed as death due to Covid-19, after due completion of death audit process:

1. A 76 years old Male of Angul District.

2. A 48 years old Female of Balasore District who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease, Post Coronary Artery Bypass Graft, Congential Cyanotic Heart Disease.

3. A 67 years old Male of Ganjam District who was also suffering from Multiple Myeloma, Non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
