Bariapda: Rairangpur Town police in Mayurbhanj dsitrict today arrested another accused in connection with the death of female lecturer Rukmini Mandal.
Mandal, a resident of Jharapokharia village of Mayurbhanj district and a contractual physics lecturer of Rairangpur College was found hanging inside her hostel room in the institution on December 1.
Police said that the fourth accused identified as Rajesh Kumar Sahoo was arrested from Keonjhar. “ Sahoo used to call the deceased frequently and harass her mentally. We are also trying to nab two other accused in the case,” said a police official.
Police had earlier arrested three including the prime accused Soumyaranjan Sahu. Soumyaranjan had allegedly raped Mandal during her visit to Keonjhar a few months back.
