Dhenkanal: A large number of dead fish were found floating in Bhagirathi Sagar pond in Dhenkanal district on Tuesday morning.
According to sources, the villagers found around 1-3 kg of decomposed fish of different species floating in the pond and were really dissatisfied due to the contamination of pond water.
The exact cause of the deaths at the pond could not be ascertained immediately. The locals have demanded the municipality officials to look into the matter and clean the pond immediately.
