Dead body of unidentified woman found inside a sack in Balasore
Some people came to visit Rajghat Baruni Mela and spotted something was floating in the water and informed the police
Balasore: The dead body of an unidentified woman was found inside a sack near Benapura ghat of Subernarekha river under Basta police limits of Balasore district on Saturday.
Report says, some onlookers came to visit Rajghat Baruni Mela which was organised on the banks of Subernarekha river and spotted something was floating in the water and informed the local police about it.
On being informed, the Basta police along the fire personnel reached the spot and recovered the sack. On opening the sack they found the body of an unidentified woman.
However, the identity of the woman has not been ascertained. It is suspected that some unknown miscreants might have killed the woman and thrown her body into the water.
The police have recovered the body and have sent it for postmortem. Later, they have started an investigation into the matter.
