Angul: The dead body of a missing man and his motorcycle have been recovered from a well at Dhipasahi village in Angul on Monday. The dead body was packed in a sack and dumped in the abandoned well along with the motorcycle.
The deceased has been identified as Sibananda Pradhan. He had been missing since Friday. A Police complaint was registered by his brother after he failed to trace the whereabouts of Pradhan.
The incident came to light when villagers noticed a foul smell emanating from the well and contacted the police. After reaching the spot, the police recovered the dead body and the vehicle from the well.
Another man of the same village has been detained for interrogation by police, in connection with the matter.
