Baripada: Tightening the noose around the necks of corrupt officials in the district, Vigilance officials today raided houses and office of Morada Statistical Amin Sumanta Sahu for amassing assets disproportionate to his known source of income.
The anti-graft officials conducted the raids simultaneously at five places which include District Planning and Monitoring section in Morada block office, resident in Sathili village under Betnoti block, his father-in-law’s house and two more places.
A joint team of Bhadrak, Balasore and Baripada Vigilance units led by DSP Sanjay Das Mohapatra conducted the raid in which vital documents, land records, bank passbooks of Sahu were examined.
A detailed report is awaited on the raid.
