DA Case: High school teacher under Vigilance net in Kendrapara

Kendrapara: Tightening the noose around the corrupt officials in the district, Vigilance sleuths today raided office and houses of Jamapada Girls’ High School teacher Ranjan Kumar Nayak for amassing properties disproportionate to his known source of income.

The raid was conducted simultaneously at four places by the teams of Kendrapara Vigilance wing, and started in the morning. Nayak’s office at the Jampada Girls’ High School, house at Kalapada, in-laws’ house at Bahakandia and brother-in-law’s house at Jamapada was searched and several important documents were seized.

“We seized 500 grams gold, a car, two motor cyclones, and five trucks during the raid so far. The raid is underway to find more Disproportionate Assets (DA),” said a Vigilance official.
