Cyclone Titli: Central Team To Arrive In Odisha today

Bhubaneswar: An 8-member Central team will arrive in Odisha today for damage assessment caused due to Cyclone Titli and subsequent flood.

Led by S.K Shahi, Joint Secretary (Center-State) Ministry of Home Affairs, the team will come on a two-day tour for damage assessment in the affected districts of the state.

Apart from Shahi, the other seven member of the team include Vandana Singhal, Chief Engineer, Ministry of Power, Rakesh Kumar, Regional Director, Ministry of RT&H, Regional Office, Bhubaneswar, Sushant Kumar Shamal, Superintending Engg. (Coordination), M/o Water Resources, Regional Office, CWC, Bhubaneswar, Virender Singh, Director, Dep.of Agriculture & Cooperation and Farmers Welfare DRD, Patna, G.R.Zagar, Sr. Consultant, Department of Drinking Water Aupply & Sanitation, R.B.Kaul, Consultant (FCD), D/o Expenditure and Guljari Lal, Under Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development.

They are scheduled to land at Gajapati Stadium by a special helicopter at 11.5 am and begin the assessment. They will also hold meetings with the district administrations of the affected districts after conducting on spot assessment.

The team is slated to submit a report to the Union Government by 2 pm on November 2.
