Cyclone Fani: Red, Orange & Yellow Alert Issued For Odisha Districts

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red, orange and yellow alert for various districts of the south, east and north coastal Odisha from May 2-4.

The IMD has issued an Orange alert for Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khurda, Rayagada, and Kandhamal districts on May 2.

For May 3, a Red alert has been issued for Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Balasore, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts.

A Yellow warning has also been issued for Boudh, Kalahandi, Sambalpur, Deogarh and Sundargarh districts for the same day.

Similarly, the IMD has issued a Red alert for Jajpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Balasore, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj and an Orange alert for Cuttack, Dhenkanal and Angul districts for May 4.
