Bhubaneswar: Severe cyclonic storm Fani on Friday is about to make landfall close to Puri and its effects are already felt across Puri, Ganjam and Bhubaneswar. Severe rainfall with gusty winds was witnesses across the mentioned places
While Gopalpur has already received 93mm of rainfall, Puri received 75 and Bhubaneswar recorded 18 mm of rainfall due to cyclone Fani. It was also reported that waterlogging was witnessed in many low lying areas in the capital city.
As per current reports, Fani was just about 30 km away from Puri and has begun the process of landfall. It is moving at about 12-14 kmph towards the land area. More than 12 districts of the state have been put on high alert.
