Bhubaneswar: East Coast Railway (ECoR) has decided to cancel 40 more trains for cyclone Fani which will hit the Odisha coast on Friday. Earlier the ECoR has cancelled as many as 107 trains between May 1 and May 3.
As per latest information, the 40 additional trains cancelled today includes three trains on Thursday, 21 trains on Friday and 16 trains on Saturday. These apart, two trains have been cancelled partially while another train will be diverted.
Earlier the ECoR has also decided to run three special trains today from Puri for tourists at students. The first special train from Puri left at 1330hrs with passengers towards Howrah. Similarly, the second special train left Puri at 1500hrs while the third special train left from Puri at 1800hrs.
