Cuttack: A youth reportedly attempted to commit suicide by setting himself on fire on the premises of Kishorenagar Police station in Cuttack city on Thursday.
One Gunanidhi Bisoyee of Isani Brahmapur Village under Nischinta Koili Tehsil of the district had gone to the police station time and again to solve a land dispute. However, fed up with the inaction of the cops of Kishorenagar Police station, Gunanidhi set self-ablaze today.
Some locals and cops present on the spot rescued Gunanidhi and rushed him to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in a critical condition. He had sustained 80 per cent of burn injuries on his body following the incident.
