Cuttack: A woman lodged a complaint against the staff of a hotel in Cuttack, Odisha alleging rape. On the basis of the complaint, Madhupatna Police have registered a case under sections 450 and 376 of IPC and initiated investigation. The incident reportedly took place yesterday night.
As per reports, a few girls had booked rooms in a hotel under Madhupatna police limits to spend night. The victim girl is said to be an outsider.
As per the complaint, when one of those girls was alone in a room, the hotel staff allegedly raped her.
After knowing about the matter, the victim’s relatives lodged a complaint at the Police Station. After getting the complaint Madhupatna Police swung into action and initiated the probe.
Further investigation of the case is underway.
