Cuttack girl wins Pratilipi Literature Award for writing 60 stories in 60 days: Watch

Cuttack: Bringing laurels to Odisha a talented young girl from the silver city of Odisha has made it to the Pratilipi Literature award for writing 60 Odia stories in 60 consecutive days without any fail.

Meet 17 year old Jayshree Sahu who has won the Pratilipi award. A student of +3 Science at the Shailabala Women’s Autonomous College in Cuttack she wrote and published stories on daily basis for 2 months.

As per the rules of the award, the topic for a certain day is announced at 12 am in night and the participant then needs to write a story on that topic and publish it by typing in his/ her mobile phone.

Jayshree wrote about contemporary society that has so far earned huge likes and she was inspired with the comments that readers put online. The award gets organised in different phases across the year. She was declared winner on December 1.

Besides being a young litterateur Jayshree is also a meritorious student. She has got government and private scholarship in lieu of her talent. That apart, she has also won awards in essay writing, drawing, and flute playing competitions.

Pratilipi is an Indian online self-publishing and audiobook portal. It features content in twelve languages: Hindi, Urdu, English, Gujarati, Bengali, Marathi, Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Punjabi and Odia.
