Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s Twin Cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar witnessed unseasonal rainfall today. The normal lives of the residents of both Cuttack and Bhubaneswar were affected to some extent due to the rain.

According to the city-based regional Meteorological centre, the rainfall occurred under the influence of a low pressure area. A fresh Low Pressure area is likely to form over south Andaman Sea and the neighbourhood by November 13 and is likely to move west-northwestwards and concentrate into a Depression over east-central and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal on November 15, said the weather department.

The roads in both the major cities of the State wore a deserted look as people preferred to stay indoors due to the downpour.

Like Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, many other places of districts of Puri, Cuttack, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Dhenkanal, Khurda, Kandhamal and Sambalpur also witnessed rainfall throughout today.
