Cuttack: Yet another floating restaurant on the Mahanadi River in Cuttack was inaugurated today. Odisha Tourist Development Corporation (OTDC) will operate the floating restaurant which has been named as ‘Simple Bistro.’
The restaurant, which will be operated at the Silver City Boat Club in Cuttack, will have a seating capacity of 30 people.

- A single table would cost Rs 1200 per hour
- The entire restaurant would cost Rs 10,000 per 2 hours
- The entire restaurant would cost Rs 20,000 for the morning only from 10.30 AM to 3.30 PM
- The entire restaurant would cost Rs 20,000 for the evening only from 4.30 PM till 9.30 PM
- The entire restaurant would cost Rs 37,000 for the whole day from 10.30 AM till 9.30 PM
This apart, an 18 per cent GST will be applicable on the charges.
People can now savour the view of the Mahanadi from a vantage point while enjoying their favourite dishes. At night, the floating restaurants will be decked up with colourful LED lights while suitable music will be on play to further heighten the ambiance.
It is to be noted here that the first floating restaurant ‘Silver City Boat Club’ in Cuttack was inaugurated by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik through virtual mode in April 2021.
