Cupertino to cooperate Odisha in Tourism, Culture sector

Bhubaneswar: Cupertino, a U.S city will provide substantial cooperation to Odisha for the marketing of its tourism products and cultural potential.
The development came after a meeting between Cupertino city Mayor Sabita Vaidyanathan and Odisha Tourism & Culture Minister Ashok Chandra Panda held here today.
The visiting dignitary had a discussion with Panda on bilateral cooperation between Odisha and Cupertino in the field of tourism and culture.
It was decided in the meeting to emphasise on cultural exchange programmes in which more American students will be included in order to have extensive knowledge on Odisha’s culture and heritage. Besides, Cupertino will help to bring more foreign tourists to state’s cultural events such as Konark Dance Festival and Rajarani Music Festival.
Panda presented Vaidyanathan coffee table bags pertaining materials on Odisha’s tourism sector.
Ananta Narayan Jena, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Mayor, Mona Sharma, Principal Secretary, Department of Tourism and Manoranjan Panigrahy, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Department of Culture Srimanta Mishra, Deputy Commissioner of BMC and officials from Cupertino city were present during the discussion.
