Crocodile spotted in Mahanadi of Cuttack, people gather on Madhusudan Setu: Watch

Cuttack: A crocodile has been spotted in Mahanadi River in Cuttack of Odisha. Hundreds of people have gathered on the Madhusudan Bridge to witness the crocodile.

As per reports, a huge crocodile was spotted in Mahanadi River. It has been believed that it washed ashore to the River. While the crocodile is yet to be rescued by the Forest Department, it is being discussed that the team from Nandankanan Zoological Park and the Forest Department will later tranquilize the reptile to rescue it.

It is to be noted that earlier crocodiles had been witnessed in other rivers including the Mantei River in Bhadrak, Kharasrota River in Kendrapara and Baitarani River in Jajpur on different occasions. Also, crocodile attacks have been witnessed earlier in Odisha. However, this is probably for the first time that a crocodile was witnessed in the River water of Mahanadi in Cuttack.
