Crocodile found dead on river banks in Kendrapara

Kendrapara: Curiosity prevailed among locals in Aul area in Kendrapara district this morning after carcass of a five-foot-long estuarine crocodile was found on the banks of river Kharasrota.

Some locals first spotted the crocodile carcass lying at Balatara Ghat and called up forest officials and police.

Forest officials from Rajnagar rushed to the spot and seized the carcass immediately for autopsy.

While the exact cause of the crocodile is not known, the officials are waiting for the autopsy report to ascertain the same.
