Crocodile Attack: Missing man found from Brahmani River in Kendrapara

Kendrapara: Body of a man who had gone missing after being dragged into Brahamani River at Pattamundai here last morning has been found.

As per the report, the mutilated body of the victim identified as Sanjay Pradhan of Mandapada village was spotted floating in the river water near Harijan Sahi by some locals this morning. They immediately intimated the matter to local police.

Later, the body was fished out of from the river with the help of fire officials.

Notably, at around 9 am yesterday Pradhan had been attacked by a salt water crocodile which attacked and dragged him into deep water. Despite frantic search by villagers and firemen his body remained untraceable.

“Several such mishaps have taken place in the area in recent past. Not only humans but also domestic animals have become victims of crocodile attack in our area. We have been demanding the district administration to install barricades at the bathing ghat but nothing has been done so far,’ alleged Kshirod Pradhan, a villager soon after the incident.
